The extraordinary history of a restaurant in Vichy!

It all began in the 30s... after leaving hotel school, Louis Grandchamp started his career at the George V in Paris.He had but one thought: to open his own restaurant.

Inspired by a caterer who was promoting his bottle-fed snails, he decided to call his restaurant in Vichy “L’Escargot qui Tette” (“The Suckling Snail”).

 

This city-centre restaurant, become an institution in its own right, is operated by the same family today.

From generation to generation, from chef to chef... it is always a delight for food lovers.
